Hello, Its a good query but answer is no. IGNOU does not offer any lateral admission. I would advise you to download its brochure cum application form and go through eligibility requirement of degree in political Science. Why worry about loosing one semester? It does not matter in the end. Best wishes.

You can take lateral admission in B.Tech from JK Lakshmipat University. This university has great infrastructure and highly qualified faculty. Procedure: Diploma holders (3-year Polytechnic programme) from a recognised Institute, with minimum 45% marks are eligible for lateral entry into 2nd year of B.Tech, in any programme of engineering offered at JKLU.
