After your Diploma you can go for B.Tech Lateral Entry in any of the streams. It will be of 3 Years rather then normal B.Tech which is of 4 years. It means you can straight way enroll into 2nd year of your Bachelor's degree. So you can select any branch of engineering depending upon your interest among CSE, Mechanical, electrical, Civil, Aerospace, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering or any other. Hello Anurag,Firstly on this platform, all answers will be here only. No personal emails. You are saying that you are awaiting results of 12th. If so then you are not eligible for lateral admissions since these are given after completion of diploma.But yes, those students who have already appeared for 12th can definitely seek admission in this institute by following proper procedure.

Yes, it is possible to get admission in B.Tech on the basis of lateral entry. Eligible candidates are required to appear for the LEET exams. Engineering Colleges/Universities offering LEET admissions are:

* Delhi Engineering College - Delhi
* Punjab University - Patiala

* Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology - Patiala

As per AICTE rules, professional courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, and LLB are not subject to part-time admission, you have to do it in regular mode, but you can take admission through lateral entry if you have done your Diploma.
