You can surely do that in LPU. I personally did quite same. My branch in Diploma and B.Tech is different. And there is no question asked in LPU for that. Also, it is great to know that you did a Diploma and trying to apply for B.Tech, as it is the best way to pursue your graduation. Also, there is a special treatment for lateral entry students in LPU. When you take admission in LPU via lateral entry you will be with the lateral entry students only so that you cope with all the things in LPU.
