For admission in undergraduate programs, the general entry requirement for English studies equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6. For admission in graduate programs, the requirement is also the equivalent of the Swedish upper secondary course English 6 and for some master's level courses and programs English 5 or English 7 is the requirement. The below table includes the English language test and their minimum requirements for admission at Linkoping:

Long Island University accepts applications through the Common Application and admits students through two intake seasons, ie; Fall & Spring. While applying to LIU, graduate students are required to send the following documents:
- Completed online application along with $50 = INR 4,162* application fee;
- Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended and proof of degree of anticipated degree;
- Proof of English language proficiency testing (IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/Duolingo);
- SAT/ACT scores;
- Resume/CV;
- Two letters of recommendation; and
- GMAT/GRE scores (if applicable).
