The selected candidates are required to submit their educational certificates along with the identifying proofs. These documents are necessary for the verification process. Some of the essential documents that the candidates must carry during the LLM admission at GNLU are:
- CLAT PG score report

Yes, you can apply for law jobs in government sector with HPNLU LLM degree. However, for selection, candidates have to go through the selection procedure of the job posting department. The degree holders can work as Public Prosecutor, Legal Associate, and Civil Judge in various Government Departments. The LLM course fee at both the universities is almost the same. NLU Shimla LLM tuition fee is INR 1.2 lakh. While the course tuition fee of NLU Delhi is INR 1.4 lakh. Hence, candidates can consider getting in either of the universities, if compared based on course tuition fee. It is also informed that the fee mentioned here is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

The National Law University, Shimla may reserve seats for candidates belonging to the SC/ST or other such categories. To get admission under these categories, aspirants have to submit the relevant documents. The caste certificate issued by a compotent authority has to be submitted.

NLU Shimla admit candidates to its LLM programme based on merit in the CLAT exam. Aspirants with a valid integrated law course/LLB degree passed with at least 55% aggregate are eligible for admission. The eligible candidates can visit the CLAT official website to apply. Following the exam result announcement, the cutoff rank is announced. Candidates who meet the HPNLU LLM CLAT cutoff can take part in the CLAT counselling for seat allotment. After the seat allotment, candidates need to report at the university and pay admission fee for seat confirmation.

Out of the 2024 batch at RMLNLU, 24 students were placed successfully. In the placements, 14 students each got placed in law firms, while 4 went to corporate organizations. Further, 10 students got placed in the lawyers' chambers. The average package offered in the 2024 placements was INR 9 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, EY, and Bharucha & Partners. However, no data is available on the number of students placed for the LLM programme in the year 2024 in RMLNLU.

HPNLU CLAT 2024 cutoff is out. The CLAT last round closing rank was 2132 in 2024 for the LLM programme. This cutoff was for candidates belonging to the General All-India category. The cutoff for NLU Shimla LLM course in 2023 and 2022 is:

Candidates are shortlisted for NLU Shimla LLM course based on their score in Common-Law Admission Test (CLAT). It is a pen and paper based examination. The exam duration is two hours. There is no other provision for admission at NLUs. Moreover, after the entrance test, candidates who meet the cutoff mark can participate in the CLAT counselling.

Eligibility for admission to RMLNLU's LLM course is based on performance in the CLAT PG examination. Candidates qualifying in the cut-off after the publication of the result shall be invited for a counselling process. A candidate may opt for the Institutions in order of preference during counselling. Seats shall be allotted through merit and reservation policy. Thus, the candidates selected in the list will have to go through the admission formalities like document verification and fee payments to confirm their admissions.
