Banaras Hindu University (BHU) offers a full-time LLM programme through its Faculty of Law. The duration of the LLM programme is two years. BHU LLM admission is done based on candidates' scores in CUET-PG. Aspirants shall check the eligibility requirements before filling out the application form. BHU LLM Fees 2024
The fee structure for BHU courses include various components, such as tuition fee, security deposit, etc. BHU LLM tuition fee range between INR 400 and INR 11,600. This fee amount has to be paid annually/semesterly. It must be noted that this fee is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

BHU has a dediacted placement cell which invites prominent companies for the placement drives. During the Banaras Hindu University 2025 placement drive, more than 65 companies participated. Some of the eminent recruiters during the 2025 placements included Cognizant, Genpact, Adani Wilmar, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, KPMG, etc.
The minimum CUET scores required for BHU admission would differ based on category, course and rounds. For the General AI category, the minimum score accepted in the first round was 73.

Admission to most of the BHU UG and PG courses is through CUET score. However, for some courses such as PhD, MFA, etc. the university has a separate admission criteria. Candidates must check the admission requirement for the preferred course before applying for admission.
BHU placements are good. The highest and average packages secured by MBA students in 2025 were INR 19.8 LPA and INR 10.1 LPA, respectively. Median salary stood at INR 9.2 LPA. The university has not yet released the placement data 2026 for other courses. During the placement drive 2025, a total of 177 placement drives were held, and more than 950 students were placed.

Yes, foreign national students can get admission in the UG and PG courses in BHU. 15% of supernumerary seats in each programme are reserved for foreign nationals. Candidates under the Foreign Students category must register through the Foreign Students' Registry only. Admissions under the foreign students' category will be merit-based. They do not have to appera in CUET exam.
BHU cutoff 2026 was released for the 4th round for different All India quota categories for the UG-level courses. The round 4 cutoff ranged from 53 to 145 for the General AI category. Candidates may not be allowed to apply for another course at BHU in the next year. Aspirants may not be allowed to pursue two degree courses at the same time. The applications can be accepted for Banaras Hindu University Diploma or certificate courses. Students must cancel admission in the running course before applying for another course.

BHU accepts CUET scores for admission to UG and PG courses. The admissions are over within few weeks of CUET counselling. CUET-PG is usually held in March whereas CUET-UG takes place in May. Students must check the complete schedule for exact dates. CUET applications for the coming year will begin in February and continue till April.
Banaras Hindu University course admissions is entrance-based for most of the programmes. Thus, one-year dropper student can apply for the desired course, however, qualifying the respective entrance is the a must. BHU LLM course admission is entrance-based. The students shall go through the information brochure or official website to get details about the admission procedure. It generally begins with the online registrations. Details about each of the BHU admission stages are provided below:
1: BHU LLM Application Process 2024
For the BHU LLM course, aspirants shall visit the CUET-PG official website to apply. students shall select BHU as an option while filling out the application form. The s to be followed for the completion of the application form are:
1.1: Visit the official website of CUET-PG (cucet.nta.nic.in) and click on the 'New Registration' tab and read the instructions carefully before proceeding.
1.2: Fill out the application form with all the mandatory details such as personal, and educational qualifications, etc.
1.3: Upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.
1.4: Select courses and Universities as per your preference and pay the CUET application fee as mentioned above.

2: Shortlisting of Students
After CUET-PG results are out, students may have to register again on the BHU CUET portal. students logging in with a score equal to or above the cutoff marks shall be selected for admission.
3: Counselling/Seat Allotment
After selection, students can be called for a counselling round. During counselling, students can be asked to present the important documents. These documents are required for verification purposes. After which, seats shall be allotted to the eligible students.

Yes, you can get into BHU with a score of 50 if you belong to the General AI category. The BHU cutoff 2026 was released for the first round for different PG-level courses based on the CUET PG entrance exam.
For the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 11 to 250. Students can see the table below to know which courses can be availed with a score of 50.

The required score would depend on the category, course and round. The BHU cutoff 2026 was released for the 4th round for admission to several PG-level courses. The cutoff was out for different AI quota categories.
For the General AI category, the round 4 cutoff ranged from 6 to 260. Hence, students who have a score of at least 6 could gain admission at BHU in the third round.

CUET score required for BHU admission depends on the candidate's selected course and reservation category. As per the CUET cut-off 2025, the closing CUET UG score for admission to most courses ranged from 500 to 600 for the General AI category. For some courses, such as BSc Computer Science & BSc Mathematics with Statistics, the closing score was between 400 and 500 for the General AI category. Cut-off scores for reserved categories like OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and EWS are usually 15-20% lower than the General AI category.
BHU offers entrance-based admissions to all its UG and PG courses. To get admission to any UG and PG courses, it is compulsory to appear for the CUET-UG/ CUET-PG entrance exams. Further, the university also accepts other entrance exam such as NEET, GATE, CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. Hence, candidates are required to appear for the accepted entrance-exam and also meet the course-specific eligibility for admission at BHU.
