To get admission at SLS Hyderabad, candidates must have at least 50% aggregate or equivalent [45% for SC/ST candidates] in their three or five Year LLB degree from any Indian or Foreign University recognised by the UGC. Candidates who have appeared for the final year LLB.examination can also apply.

The university offers four specialisations which are Corporate and Business Law; Constitutional and Administrative Law; Criminal and Security Law; and Intellectual Property Law at its main University, Gandhinagar. For admission to NLSIU Bangalore LLM programme, candidates have to register through CLAT portal. Registered candidates for CLAT 2025 counselling will be called by NLSIU Bangalore through five provisional merit lists, each released by the Consortium of CLAT.

LM is a full-time programme that lasts one year. The postgraduate level course is also offered full-time and has two academic semesters. Aspirants who appeared for the CLAT 2025 Exam should have a clear idea about a good CLAT score. CLAT is a very competitive exam and candidates need to score high to clear the cutoff.
