Yes, Long Island University permits international students to work while studying in the university. Students must note that they are limited to working 17 hours per week during the academic year. During recess periods, students may work more than 17 hours per week on an exception basis, but may not exceed more than 1,000 hours in an academic year while studying in LIU.
