At Loyola college Chennai, females are not allowed for the B.Com Accounting and Finance or any other specialisation. Only B.Sc courses and BMM courses are allowed for females.

Loyola College, Chennai, has a Loyola Visual Aptitude Test (LoVAT) as an entrance exam to B.Sc. Visual Communication an academic course in the campus. This written examination tests the general awareness, fundamental understanding of film/media industry, editing, essay writing and knowledge of English language, and even draws or sketches challenges are sometimes included in the written examination. Thereafter, shortlisted candidates are taken through series of interviews (department, Principal, industry human being), and it is well advisable to have a portfolio of their creativity. The eligibility normally is a pass in 10+2.
