There are many book as in MA English entrance exam. But, you have to be knowledgeable in history of English literature. The critical analysis. The postmodern theories. More over, the Shakespeare plays also plays a vital role in that kind of exams. For history of English literature, you can go for "Routledge history of English literature ". It is the best book for NET exam also. Best of luck.

It depends on your personality, your speaking listening skills. Because, in foreign, the accent of English should be really good on the other hand you have to be master in language and literature of English.
