Yes, if you have completed the graduation in philosophy, you are eligible for M.Des at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata.

NIFT Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025 for Master of Design (M. Candidate needs to have passed the Bachelor's degree exam (12+4) to be eligible for VUNET M.Des admission. Before applying for admission, make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria. Officials will verify the eligiblity of the candidate at the time of counseling, and if there is any anomaly, the candidate may be disqualfied.

Students who have written NIFT or NATA,  NIFT or NID exams can submit their score card while applying for admission for design at Sasi Creative College . On scrutiny of the application, candidate may be exempt from writing the Stage 1 exam and will be intimated accordingly, but the Stage 2 Portfolio Review and Personal Interview is compulsory for all.

Candidates should have passed class 12 in any stream from a recognised board with aggregate 50% marks to take admission in Bachelor of Design course. For Master of Design, candidates should have Bachelor's degree in any stream with an aggregate 50% marks. Candidates appearing in last semester of their Bachelor's degree can also apply.

The overall criteria for MDes in NID Ahmedabad is four-year Bachelor degree in any specialisations from any recognised university or institution. NID Ahmedabad offers MDes programme at the postgraduate level that lasts for two and a half years. Selection is based on NID entrance exams. MDes is offered in different disciplines across all three campuses in the following departments: Faculty of Communication Design, Faculty of Industrial Design, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Design, Faculty of IT Integrated Design, and Faculty of Textile, Apparel, Lifestyle and Accessory Design.
