The eligibility requirements for enrollment into MDes course at ADYPU School of Design is compact, in which students are requried to complete their bachelor's degree with an aggregate of 50%. Then, students need to appear for ACET (institute-specific aptitute-test), followed by a counselling process/ studio test.

The eligibility critria for SOFT M.Des is
- Full-time Degree of minimum 4 year duration in Design/Fine Arts/Applied Arts/Architecture
- Three Year Bachelor Degree from any recognised University, In B Design/ Fashion Technology, B Tech. / 3 years Diploma of Government Polytechnic + Any Bachelor's Degree & Industry Experience, B.Sc. Textile Science in Apparel Design, B.Sc .Fashion Design. NOTE: For three year Degree programme the students will have to do a bridge course of 8 credits in their first year ( 4 credits each Sem I and Sem II)

Candidates seekling admission to the M.Des programme must have complete their 3-year or 4-year Bachelor Degree programme in any discipline.
Candidates who have done full-time Diploma of minimum 4-year duration in Design/Fine Arts/Applied Arts/ Architecture, after 12th standard or equivalent to 12th standard, from any university or institute recognised by law in India, may also apply.

Aspirants who have completed graduation in any stream are eligible to apply for MDes programme at ESEDS School of Design. Candidates must have documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, the selection for MDes programme is based on merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam.

Admission to UPES School of Design for courses such as MDes would require Class 10 and Class 12 qulaification with 50% along with 50% aggregate in graduation. Candidates must secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as UCEED/ UPESDAT. After qualifying the merit based criteria, candidates must appear for portfolio presentation and interview. For final admission, shortlisted candidates must pay the fees and confirm the seat.

To be eligible for FDDI's Master Degree programmes, candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from an institute/university recognised by law in India.
For M.Des. in Footwear Design & Production, candidates without a design background may be required to undergo a bridge programme comprising 2–3 relevant subjects to help them understand essential design concepts.
For M.Des. in Fashion Design, any graduate from a recognised institution is eligible.
