To be eligible for M.Des at NID Gandhinagar, candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree or a full-time Diploma in Design, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, or Architecture with a minimum of 60% marks. Candidates who have graduated from a recognised university in any stream are eligible admission to a MDes course of Pearl Academy Delhi. The candidate must have the pass certificate (original and photocopy) with him/her during application process and admission confirmation.

To pursue a two-year MDes programme at NIMS University at the postgraduate level, you must have completed a Bachelor's Degree of at least 3 years duration and obtained a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination. Bachelor's degree (four-year) or equivalent qualification in Design/ Engineering/ Architecture/ Interior Design or any other Design-related field with a minimum of 6.0 CPI on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate is the basic eligibility for the MDes programme offered at IIT Guwahati. Candidates with a Professional Diploma in Design of NID or a Professional Diploma of CEPT (five-year) with a minimum of 6.0 CPI out of 10 or 60% aggregate can also apply for MDes admission.

For IIT Delhi M.Des admission, candidates must have passed BE/ BTech/ BDes/ BArch or equivalent degree in a relevant field with a CGPA of 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% aggregate. Apart from the minimum eligibility requirement, candidates are also required to appear for the CEED entrance test.

Below is the IIT Bombay eligibility criteria for MDes Mobility and Vehicle Design course:

  • Candidates need to pass four-year bachelor's degree in Design/ Engineering/ Architecture/ Interior Design (BPlan considered equivalent to BArch and four-year BSc Engineering course after HSC considered equivalent to BE/ BTech) or, 
  • Professional Diploma in Design (minimum 4 years) or,
