No, there is no provision for direct admission to the MDes programme of NID Bangalore. The admission to the programme is purely based on the applicants' merit in the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by NID. The test comprsies two stages: prelims and mains. Pearl Academy Bangalore offers MDes as a 2 years PG level programme, offered in various specialisations such as Communication Design, Interior Design, Fashion Styling, Fashion Design, Fashion Communication and many more. Admission to the respective course is offered on the basis of Pearl Academy Entrance Exam. Candidates must prepare a portfolio for presentation. Post presentation, final admission will be granted after the fees payment to confirm the seat.

An MSc Interior Design and an MDes Interior Design differ based on their curriculum focus. MSc Interior Design is more focused on the research part of the field; however, the MDes is inclined toward the creativity and functionality aspects of Interior Designing. Now, which option is better is a subjective question, and its answer can vary from person to person. 
In my opinion, I would go for MDes in Interior Design in terms of job prospects, skills development, and industry exposure.
