Direct admission to M.Des Interior Design at MGM College of Fine Art usually isn't like this. Candidates will need to possess either a B.Des degree or an equivalent degree qualifier with a minimum of 50% marks and then undertake an entrance test or portfolio review before being considered for admission.

Some private colleges do offer management quotas for direct admissions, but these are not widely publicized and carry almost exorbitant fees. Admission is generally purely on merit or a college-specific test for supposed design aptitude, creativity, etc. Work experience in design would give an additional boost to application, but it is not mandatory.
