After doing M.Phil you may not need to give the written, but it is necessary to give NET for taking admission in Ph.D. after going M.Com it's compulsory to give the UGC exam. And it was suggested to you to give NET exam before Ph.D.

M.Phil (Commerce) is a two-year post-graduation course. M.Phil. i.e. Master of Philosophy is an advanced postgraduate research degree. The course fee of this course in India starts between INR 1 to INR 3 Lac. This course fee is different for different institutes. Popular colleges for M.Phil are IGNOU Kurushetra University, Assam University, Anamali, Allahabad University, BHU and AMU etc.

The minimum eligibility required to pursue this course is Masters in English with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognised institution. M.Phil English admissions are based on the national level entrance tests like NET JRF/NET LS, followed by an interview.

Hi Bhumika ofcourse you can do M.Phil in commerce as a external. But I would like to suggest you that do and complete your post graduation first. Only then pursue for M.Phil. Because you need to expand your knowledge first.
