Hii, As per UGC norms in 2016, no affiliated university was allowed to offer distance learning for Ph.D. and M.Phil courses. Secretary of UGC Jaspal Sandhu said, Students are advised not to take admission in any M.Phil and Ph.D. course offered by any university or institution through distance learning. Thanks.

Hii sreeja, I can say that M.Phil is useless nowadays better go for a Ph.D. directly if that is what you want.
