Hello Viswaprakash, M.Sc. Is post graduation in Science. This will definitely require eligibility of B.Sc. With similar subjects like biology or biotechnology or perhaps even BE in food technology. But this subject definitely has big potential in the coming days or coming years. You have done your degree in hotel management. If your subjects are matching with the eligibility then you will be eligible. Yes, you are eligible for doing M.Sc Food Science and Technology at BHU, because you have done the B.Sc. Food Science and Technology.

The eligibility criteria of M.Sc Food Technology of MDU is given below for an idea. Eligibility criteria B.Sc. (honors), B.Sc. In Basic Science/ Agriculture/ Fisheries/ Horticulture/ Food Processing Technology/ Home Science (10+2 with Science)/ B.E or B- Tech in Food Technology/ Bio-Technology/ Sugar Technology/ Agriculture Engineering/ Post Harvest Technology with at least 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates of Haryana only) in aggregate or any other examination recognized by MD University, Rohtak as equivalent thereto. So from above, you are not eligible for M.Sc. Food Processing Technology course.

Yes, although you have done your graduation from distant learning you can still apply for MS in US. They will only consider the post graduation degree or graduation degree not weather you have attended the classes or not. Also, you have to pass some interviews for it. Hope this might help you:). .
