 To apply for an MSc course, the aspirant shall have a Bachelor's degree in Science with a relevant subject (mandatory) from a recognised university. For applied chemistry, a BSc degree in applied chemistry, BSc in Applied Mathematics, and applied physics for the MSc Applied Mathematics and MSc Applied Physics specialisations.

For NIT Rourkela MSc admission, candidates must hold a valid Bachelor's degree from a recognised institute/ university with at least 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates). The aspirants who have appeared for their graduation exams in 2023 are also eligible to take admission.

  • Admission to MSc (all specialisations) is based on scores obtained in the last qualifying examination
