Hi dear, let's talk straight forward to the point, if you look at the study pattern, then SRM is good for M.Sc. In Biotech. But I am afraid to state that you cannot expect good amount of job opportunities in any domain apart from CS/IT here in SRM. There may be only one or two core companies for biotechnology and this will force the students to ultimately go either jobless or work in some IT firm. Hope so you got your answer. Hi dear, they have a saparate placement cell for the students to get the jobs and their contacts is at top level. Recently of my super senior has placed in Japan and USA and one of my senior who is still yet to complete the course has already placed as bartender. Coming to Internships, placement cell will make sure that all the students get their internship in 5 star property only and they'll do. Internship is a part of curriculum which comes in 5th semester, however some faculty members will assist the students with part time jobs while they are studying. You can apply for CSIR NAT NET by which you will get a job as assistant professor and junior research fellow.

By completing CSIR NAT NET you can work as a research fellow or as an assistant professor. The starting salary would be around 32,000 for around two years and then for the three years it will be around INR 38,000. It is applicable in all government colleges and research centers.

Placements: About 20% of student in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 40 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 20 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Wipro, Microsoft, and ISRO visited our campus for placements.
