Candidates wishing to apply for the course need to meet the following minimum eligibility criteria:
A minimum aggregate score of 55% at the level of graduation in B.Sc. or B.E./B.Tech. or an equivalent degree with Mathematics as one of the main subjects of study completed from a recognized institute or university.
Candidates waiting for their final years exam results can also apply for this course on a provisional basis.
A number of institutes in the country prefer students with professional experience in the field.
