Candidates should clear graduation in fisheries Science or a related subject with at least 50% - 60% marks in order to meet the eligibility criteria for the M.F.Sc. Course. Candidates with a B.Tech degree are also sometimes eligible for M.F.Sc. Admissions.

No. IGNOU does not provide master degree in Science stream except few unconventional Science subjects such as Master of Science in Counselling and Family Therapy, M.Sc. (Mathematics with Applications in Computer Science), Master of Science (Hospitality Administration), Master of Science Degree in Dietetics and Food Service Management. Reason behind this might be practical based subject.
