Hi.

Challenges for Non-Sports Background Students

Course Prerequisites

Some courses assume familiarity with anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, or sports psychology theory.

You may need to self-study or take bridge courses.

Competition

Sports psychology programs are competitive because seats are limited.

Candidates with sports, coaching, or physiotherapy backgrounds often have an edge.

Practical/Internship Component

Many programs require practical experience with athletes or sports teams.

Non-sports students may have to proactively arrange internships or volunteer work to meet this requirement.

Yes German langauge is very helpful. Even if your course is in English, you need German language for daily life and to find part-time jobs or internships. Most companies prefer candidates who speak at least B1 level German for full-time roles.
