Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech at IIT Tirupati are required to meet with the minimum eligibility criteria (required for the course) and also have a valid score in the GATE exam. To be eligible, candidates must have one of the following:

  • Completed their BE/ BTech/ BSc (Eng) with at least 60% aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or 6.0 CPI (5.5 in case of SC/ST/PWD) out of 10 OR
  • a first-class specified by the university OR
  • BTech degree holders from any of the IITs with a minimum CPI of 8.0 will be directly admitted to M.Tech programme (under Teaching Assistants position through a written test/ or an Interview).

Candidates need to complete BTech with at least 50% aggregate to apply for LIT Lucknow M.Tech course. Additionally, admission to M.Tech course will be based on GATE score. LIT offers M.Tech in two specialisations, namely Computer Science and Civil Engineering.

For admission in the M.Tech programme at BMS College of Engineering at least 50% aggregate in Bachelor's degree is needed. You must also have a valid score in either GATE or PGCET entrance exam for the M.Tech programme at the college.

At the postgraduate level, the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Kottayam offers MTech courses to students. For MTech, a candidate must pass BTech /B.E. /AMIE or MCA/ MSc/ MS degree in CS /IT / Mathematics/ Physics/Statistics with a minimum of 60% aggregate. Also, the candidates must be employed in any organisation at the time of applying for admission to various M.Tech specialisations.  Hence, be prepared for admission as soon as the application form opens.

For admission to a two-year MTech course at MIT Manipal, there is minimum eligibility that is required to fulfil by every aspirant. Candidates who passed graduation in a relevant B.E. or BTech field with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised university are eligible to apply for this course.

The eligibility criteria for M.Tech and Indian Institute of Information technology design and Manufacturing Kurnool is

Students who are qualified GATE can apply to the M.Tech programs offered in the institute through CCMT admission link.

Candidates should have minimum 60% marks (or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale) for Gen/EWS/OBC-NCL whereas 55% marks (or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST/PwD in the B.Tech/B.E degree aggregate of all semesters/years.

JNTUK M.Tech admissions are based on GATE score followed by CCMT counselling or Andhra Pradesh PGECET score. In addition to this, candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology as an optional subject for M.Tech admission at JNTUK.
