Yes, why not! You can do a M.Tech in any relevant specialization of your choice after doing BTech in Mechanical, provided you appear for GATE exam and score well in the same. Almost all of the reputed Indian engineering colleges and universities provide admission to MTech courses on the basis of GATE score or conduct their own specific entrance tests to assess the capability of the aspirant. You must prepare well for the exam to get good marks and a decent rank to get admission to a top engineering institute.

Best of luck for your future endeavors!

The basic eligibility is to pass graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50% from a recognised university. The selection, however, will be done based on GATE score. Interested students can firstly apply and then appear for the GATE exam. Once the results are out, students can fill out the application form available on the university's official website. To finalise the admission, students need to pay the course fee.

There are a total of 33 RF and Microwave Engineering colleges in India, out of which 21 accept the GATE exam scores. Other state-level and university-level entrance exams include CUET PG, CCMT, Karnataka PGCET, TS PGECET, AP PGECET, etc.

No, you cannot join IMU Vishakhapatnam for the M.Tech in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering programme without taking the IMU CET. The admission process for this programme requires candidates to qualify in the IMU Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) or have valid scores from the Andhra Pradesh PGECET for admission.

For Indian nationals, the IMU CET is mandatory, while foreign students may have the option to apply through the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) scheme. Thus, taking the IMU CET is essential for eligibility in this program.
