No, the university does not accept GATE or any other entrance exam score. Admission to M.Tech course is purely based on merit. Bharath University shortlists candidates for M.Tech based on their score in the last qualifying exam. BIHER releases a merit list announcing the names of selected aspirants. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification round. Aspirants need to bring the documents proving their eligibility for verification. Candidates must pass BE/ BTech or its equivalent exam approved by UGC/ AICTE in an appropriate branch with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA to apply for the M.Tech course. Aspirants need to fulfil the eligibility requirement before applying for the M.Tech course. Going as per the last year cutoff trends, the closing percentile for M.Tech. in Geotechnical Engineering stood at 14.98 Percentile, for M.Tech.3 in Environment and Water Resources Engineering again at 14.98 Percentile, for M.Tech.9 in Structural Engineering at 72.75 and for M.Tech in Transportation Engineering at 18.95 Percentile.
