M.Tech

A total of 86 seats are offered under the NIT Uttarakhand M.Tech programme. These seats are distributed across various specialisations offered under this course. Listed below is the specialisation wise distribution of M.Tech seats:

• MTech in Microelectronics and VLSI Design: 19
• MTech in Artificial Intelligence: 19
• MTech in Transportation Engineering: 9
• MTech in Structural Engineering:10
• MTech in Machine Design: 10
• MTech in Power Electronics and Drives: 19

Candidates who are willing to take admission to non- sponsored NIT Uttarakhand M.Tech seat must apply and appear for the GATE exam. The list below details the application process

1. Open the GATE 2025 registration portal.
2.  Register as a new candidate. Generate login credentials.
3. Fill out the application form and pay the application fee, INR 1,800 for general and INR 900 for female/Sc/ST/PWD. 

Once the NIT Uttarakhand M.Tech seat allocation process is completed, selected candidates must present original and self-attested photocopies of documents for verification purposes at the institute. Such candidates are required to bring along the following documents:

• Class 10 marksheet
• Class 12 marksheet
• Migration certificate
• UG marksheets
• UG degree

• Category certificate (if applicable)

Offering specialisations as per the programme, NIT Puducherry has few selective seats for M.Tech programmes, usually 18 to 30 seats per specialization. The seats available may differ based on the popularity of the course, production capacity, and the policy of the institute for that particular academic year. NIT Uttarkhand accepts valid GATE exam scores for M.Tech admissions. As per official sources, the GATE exam date for the 2025 session is out. The exam was scheduled to be held from Feb 1 to Feb 16, 2025. To register, the students can visit the official GATE website.
