All students at NIT Jalandhar have the option to pursue any M.Tech specialisation which multiplies career opportunities manifolds. The curriculum for all specialisations is actively updated with inputs of Industry experts. The suggestion would be to get a flavour of all fields during the first Semester, which comprises core papers only; specialisations start in the second semester. Candidates are not allowed to get direct admission to M.Tech courses at NIT Jalandhar. To be eligible for admission, candidates must complete their BTech courses with at least an aggregate of 60%. Candidates must have appeared in the GATE entrance examination and CCMT counselling.

To get into SPU for a MTech course, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the university. Students must pass BE/BTech or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% for the General Category and 45% aggregate for SC/ST/SEBC. Sankalchand Patel University offers full-time M.Tech courses of two years' duration. Students can get into this course based on a valid GATE exam score/ACPC Admission. Apart from the selection criteria, students must pass BE/BTech (common eligibility).
