Master of Technology (M.Tech) Telecommunication Engineering also known as telecom engineering, is a 2-year post-graduation course on Telecommunication Engineering, which comes under the field of electronic engineering. M.Tech Telecommunication Engineering involves the study of basic circuit designing, signal processing, wireless networks, etc. M.Tech Telecommunication Engineering duration is generally full time and takes 2 years to complete, but some colleges do provide the option of lateral entry.

Of course you pursue your B.Tech from Cambridge's university or any abroad but you need to keep in mind that you need to be great in the mechanical branch and should have very good marks plus the eligibility criteria be fulfilled by you.

It is not too late to reply I think. But there are so many reputed institutions and private colleges giving admissions with out GATE but AICTE stipend won't be there. Some of iits, iiits (IIITH), BITS are also conducting separate exams and interviews for M.Tech admissions. Through PGCET you can get admissions in state universities.
