Hello ! First of all, LPU has a single campus located in Punjab only. There are two options with B.Tech-M.Tech - one is Dual Programme with B.Tech - M.Tech and the other is Integrated B.Tech-M.Tech. Applicable Fees for the B.Tech M.Tech programme depends on various factors like programme you choose whether it is Dual or Integrated, caliber of the students, marks in last qualification, performance in national level test or LPU NEST as applicable and the performance of the student in various categories in which scholarships are offers. So, refer the Eligibility criteria for these programmes as admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for the same. M.Tech. (RS&GIS) course is providing in-depth understanding of remote sensing, satellite image analysis, Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technologies and their applications in natural resources survey and monitoring including agriculture and soils, forestry and ecology, geology and mineral resources, water resources, marine resources, urban and regional planning, atmospheric studies and disaster management. It is a four semester course in which first two semesters are devoted to exhaustive course work and other two semesters has research project with a mandate to work as a member of a research group in a project in close association with the subject matter experts. Remote sensing specialists support scientists by designing and conducting remote sensing data gathering efforts. For example, they determine the best techniques, equipment, spectral band, and time of day for a particular mission. They may prepare flight plans, configure sensors, apply the techniques to collect data in the field, and process the resulting data. This data is used in a wide variety of fields, including all of the environmental sciences, agriculture, archaeology, urban planning, water management, meteorology, and even engineering and business. Career scope in Remote sensing & GIS : Remote sensing is increasingly used by private companies that sell imagery and data to Google, Bing, the federal government, scientists, academic and research libraries, and others. Specialists may also find employment at consulting firms, software development firms, and scientific laboratories, where they are expected to improve technologies, software, or data analysis techniques. Some specialists become professors or research staff in academia. These positions require at least a Masters degree, while tenured faculty has doctoral degrees.
