The minimum requirement for admission to M Tech course at IISc is SECOND CLASS B.E/B.Tech (as declared by the University) or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination and valid GATE score.

It will be depend on GATE score and cut off marks in qualifying degree and some time written test or/and interview, which varies from institute to institute.

First of all, BIT-Kolkata extension centre doesn't offer M.Tech and for getting admission in the main campus in M.Tech, you will need a valid GATE score.

M.Tech through distance are not valid for employment and higher study purpose. Hence avoid to pursue this. M.Tech regular part time is the best option for you.
