It's not possible to get M.Tech Embedded Systems in VIT Vellore in Category 1 with 1780 rank. You can get it in category 2 or 3.

Hello Ramya, If you are interested in teaching or research sector than NET Exam will be really helpful for you. UGC NET and CSIR NET exam basically conducted to select candidates for teaching as assistant professor and for research as JRF. The candidates can apply for subject of their post graduation so you can apply for UGC NET exam. There are more than 300+ seats in Integrated M.Tech. If you want to pursue Masters in Management like, if you want to go for MBA then go with B.Tech else if you want to do M.Tech in CS then go for an integrated course than doing both separately.

You can get admission in VIT Vellore for M.Tech in VLSI in either category 2 or 3. But it's not possible for you to get admission in Embedded Systems in Category 1.
