1) Candidates should have secured minimum of 55% marks (without rounding off) in their Masters degree or equivalent exam from any university/college that is recognised by UGC. Aspirants belonging to reserved categories such as OBC (non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/PwD are eligible to apply if they have secured minimum 50% aggregate in their Masters degree or equivalent exam.
2) Aspirants who are appearing for their Masters degree final year exam and whose exam result is awaited can also apply for APSET exam. But such aspirants will be offered provisional ad

There are few vacancies every year due to shortage of admissions in various engineering colleges across the country. The institutes also releases notification for admission into such seats by non-gate candidates.
I suggest you to search for such institutes as these seats are less in number.

Yes, you can. Get some work experience till you pursue your Masters. Also if you are planning for a M.Sc or M.Tech, I won't advise a huge gap since it will distance you from studies from a longer period, not recommended by the universities either. More so if you plan to study abroad in future do well in your academics and maintain a consistent record.
