There are two Master's of Engineering degrees. One is in Metallurgy and other is the one including various other specializations. For metallurgy, students who have successfully completed the BE / B.Tech Programme in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or Mechatronics with minimum 55% aggregate, are eligible to apply. Sponsoring industries will also apply their own criteria for selecting students for sponsorship. And for the other course, you have to apply through ACPC, L. D. engineering. College, Ahmedabad. M.Tech. in Structural Engineering is a 2-year full-time postgraduate course, the minimum eligibility for which is a B.E. Or B.Tech. Degree in any stream of engineering, preferably Civil Engineering, completed with a minimum aggregate score of 55%. Most institutes admit students based on their performance in a relevant entrance test, followed by a round of Personal Interview. Some institutes conduct their own entrance tests for offering admission. Admission process generally varies across colleges. However, GATE/NET scores are accepted at almost all institutes offering the course. Regards.
