It's nice to know your dream of pursuing further studies. You may not be eligible for M.Tech, but you surely are eligible for admission in MBA.

GATE is normally followed by all reputed Universities. Of course some of them have their own exams to admit students. But firstly why no to GATE? Study and appear for it. It will tell you where you stand. Path to good and reputed universities is only through GATE.

Reasons which favor higher studies:
1. You have desires for higher studies.
2. You are not getting job since last few year then you are going for higher studies.
3. You want to go for job abroad.
Reasons which do not favor higher studies:
1. You have no family support.
2. You do not want to invest more money.
3. You are afraid that you can't get job even after you M.Tech degree.

Yes, you can. Mechanical engineering is the base of many specializations like automobile, robotics Mechatronics, aerospace, etc. So, if you have done a Bachelors in Mechanical then you can do M.Tech in robotics.
