M.Tech

Usually, people prefer doing M.Tech after completing their graduation in B.Tech, but there are lot many options other than M.Tech that you can pursue. You can go for a MBA or M.Des.
Go for a MBA, if you are looking to get into the management stream. You can always choose a specialisation in MBA or else you can go for M.Des which is a designing course, this requires technicality and creativity. In M.Des, you can opt for transportation or industrial designing. Transport design is more of a specialized field, which is only concerned with creating environment friendly motors while industrial design has more vast study in it.
There are various institutes, if you want to pursue M.Des like:
1. IISc - Bangalore
2. IIITDM - Jabalpur.
3. IIITDM - Kancheepuram.
4. DAIICT.
5. UPES School of Design.
For pursuing MBA, go for:
1. IIMs.
2. Management Development Institute – Gurgaon.
3. Xavier Labour Relations Institute – Jamshedpur.
4. S.P Jain Institute of Management and Research – Mumbai.
5. UPES – Dehradun.
6. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Management – Shillong.

It depends on you, whether you want to pursue your career in more of a technical work or get into management. For specializing in a technical degree, go for M.Tech and for management, you can go for MBA.
There are many specialisations in which you can do M.Tech after completing your B.Tech in computer science like:
1. M.Tech CSE.
2. M.Tech aerospace engineering.
My personal choice is aerospace engineering as it has very good career prospects and job opportunities. To pursue this specialization you can go for:
1. IIST – Kerala.
2. IIT - Mumbai/Kanpur.
3. UPES - Dehradun.
UPES - Dehradun also has further specialisation available in both these courses. All of these are best bets and have good placements opportunities.
For MBA, I think NICMAR (Pune, Hyderabad and Goa campus), UPES - Dehradun and MIT - Pune are some of the best bets to pursue a career in management. These have good infrastructure, exposure, faculty support and placement cells.
