It doesn't accept any entrance exam for MBA admission. NMIMS is a highly ranked private management institute but it does not have their own entrance exam. It grants admission to the students on basis of NMAT score. To get admission in this university one has to pass NMAT exam as they give entry to the students on basis of their NMAT Score. It accepts around 600 students every year on the basis of NMAT score.

University of Mumbai has been ranked by NIRF 2023, where it holds the ranking of 96 in the overall category and 56 in Universities. Also Mumbai Universities is ranked 176 by Buisness Today. The rankings covers parameters like "Teaching, Learning, and Resources, " "Research and Professional Practices, " "Graduation Outcomes, " "Outreach and Inclusivity, " and "Perception" in broad strokes.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIIT Nagpur has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 27737. In 2023, it decreased to 27288. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from:
- 37580 to 11394 for OBC
- 132447 to 6770 for SC
- 238781 to 3707 for ST
- 36943 to 4824 for EWS
- 315956 to 1038 for PWD
This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.
