Lower cost of living is the biggest reason. Rent, food, and travel in Ahmedabad cost much less than in Mumbai or Delhi. Add strong colleges like IIM Ahmedabad and GNLU, plus a growing job market at GIFT City, and the value for money is hard to beat.

A JEE Main rank of 2000 would get you admission to this institute if you belong to the General AI category. In the first round, the highest Round 1 rank acceptable is 34000 for this category. Hence, students in this category would need a rank of at least 34000 to be considered qualified for admission.
If you belong to the OBC, SC and ST All India quota categories, then you can also get admission to MIT-WPU Pune in the first round itself. For the OBC, SC and ST AI categories, the highest ranks acceptable were 34000, 51000, 74000 and 99000, respectively.
