Most of the diploma colleges in Maharashtra admit students via Centralised Admission Process (CAP). However, following colleges do not participate in CAP, but conduct separate admissions and you need to apply to each of them separately.

GATE is for both B.Tech & BE students. If your degree is valid as per UGC & AICTE guidelines then, of course, there's no question about it. You can go for Master's degree or placements via GATE if you complete BE.

Hi,
MBA is a higher education and many of the colleges don't intake the candidates according to previous degree percentage. But 50% aggregate is must for any higher education. Mostly you should write entrance exams.

According to my opinion, taking a drop is not worth for a course like engineering because the course is same whether you study in any institute. Only the salary packages are different.
