VIIT was granted six years of "A" grade accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an independent body that was founded by the UGC. The accreditation was valid from September 2016 through September 2022. Out of 160 institutions, Outlook iCare ranked VIIT, Pune the 52nd best institute in India.
