You can go for PGDME (Post Graduation Diploma in Marine Engineering) after completion of B. Tech, either in Mechanical or Electrical. It's a 1-year Diploma course, being offered in various institutes, affiliated with Indian Maritime University (IMU).

Hi, Candidates who are holders of a Diploma in Marine /Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks are eligible to apply for admission into the 2nd year of B.Tech through lateral entry. Candidates who possess Bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply for the MBA course at IMU. However Seats to all the courses will be allotted purely based on the scores obtained in an online Common Entrance Test.
