Yes, he can.
Minimum requirements:
50% marks in any stream.
Must have completed graduation in case for opting MJMC (noe compartments, reappears or backlog).
* as most of the colleges do not give admission as per UGC rules.
It does not require any journalism background for opting BJMC or MJMC but for M.Phil and PhD.

As a Bachelor degree holder, you can apply for a Master degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. It will help you to be a good sports journalist.
