Admissions to engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu are primarily reserved for those having "nativity". However I am sure if seats remain vacant then Management's of the private colleges will force government to allow admissions to out of state students also. 1) Good GRE and TOEFL score
2) Excellent Academics

Hi Sadha, there are need-based scholarships from MIT, MIT is just few of the US universities to offer need-based scholarships to its students. They do not offer merit based funds. For students with family incomes under $90,000 a year, a full scholarship aid is possible from MIT.
