Hi Rajeev,
You have to meet the credit points which are different for different departments. Please check with your university and also contact MIT admission office directly. To pursue UG courses you must take the SAT and SAT subject tests or the ACT. Also, you must take the TOEFL.

Dear Himanshu,
MIT is one of the most selective universities, to apply for a UG program take the SAT or the ACT. Excellent SAT or ACT performance is a must, however, they will look at your profile holistically, therefore, you must not only excel in your academics but also in your extracurricular activities. They don't want boring students. You must be an all-rounder, take part in sports, be innovative, be intelligent and what not. Go through their admission page. You may check out the Ivy League universities in USA which are known for its selectiveness and connotations of academic excellence. Non Ivy Leagues such as Stanford University

There is no specific entrance exam for MIT. You need to have an extraordinary profile, some wonderful projects and extracurricular activities, amazing academics, etc. to secure admission into MIT.

Hi, MIT provides need-based scholarship particularly if you are applying for an undergraduate program. The scholarship will depend on your financial background and you need to demonstrate the same. Applications are considered automatically when you apply for admission. But, you need to have an outstanding profile to deserve the MIT scholarship.

The admission procedure is to take the SAT or ACT and TOEFL. Besides this, you need to very good in your academics and excel as an all-rounder. The admission is done online. You must apply through the Common Application Portal. Just check the Common Application Portal and MIT website for these details. You need to submit the form before the deadlines which are mentioned on these sites.

Hi Krishna Prasad, it seems you have already asked this question. There is no specifics on how to get into MIT, the number one rule is that you have to an exceptional student. The answer which has been given to you previously also tells you that. One advice-please check MIT website and learn about the kind of students they admit, please build your application and profile accordingly.

Hi Shivansu, you are talking about the world's most selective universities, so if you want admission in these schools, you must be extraordinary, extremely strong academic grades, outstanding extracurricular activities, highly intelligent and innovative, etc. For application purposes, you mus take SAT or ACT for Bachelors degree and GRE for MS. It is strongly recommended that you check the websites, read about the selection process and kind of students they admit and prepare accordingly.

Hi Avi,
You have to excel in your academics and be an all-rounder. MIT is place of innovators so build your profile accordingly. Take part in high end project works and show you talented you are. Sports, voluntary work, etc. are also required. You must take the SAT or ACT and TOEFL as a part of the application process. You must also visit the MIT website and get to know the student profiles so that you can prepare accordingly.

You can, but you must be willing to take up a Ph.D since the MS will eventually lead to a Ph.D and they also admit students who want to be potential researchers. You must check the MIT website for the complete details. Certain pre-requisite courses, GRE, etc., must be taken.
