No, there is no age limit to apply for CLAT PG (LLM entrance exam). The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has not set any upper or lower age restrictions for candidates appearing in the exam. However, applicants must meet the educational eligibility criteria, which require an LLB degree (3-year or 5-year) from a recognised university with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Since there is no age bar, professionals, working lawyers, or graduates looking to specialize in law can apply.

No, CLAT PG is conducted only in English and is not available in other languages. The exam consists of passage-based multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that assess legal reasoning, comprehension, and application. Since legal education in India, especially at the postgraduate level, is primarily conducted in English, the Consortium of NLUs has not introduced regional language options for CLAT PG. Candidates must be comfortable with reading and understanding legal texts, judgments, and case laws in English. Improving legal vocabulary and comprehension skills can help in better performance.

The best books for CLAT PG preparation include “Singhal's MCQ for LLM Entrance Exams” for practicing objective questions and “Universal's Guide to LLM” for comprehensive coverage of legal subjects. “Jurisprudence & Legal Theory” by Dr. V.D. Mahajan is ideal for conceptual clarity, while “Indian Constitutional Law” by M.P. Jain helps with Constitutional Law. For case laws and recent judgments, reading Bare Acts and SCC Online summaries is essential. Solving previous year question papers and practicing passage-based MCQs from Andhra Pradesh Bhardwaj's book will boost legal reasoning skills.

The CLAT PG syllabus is prescribed by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs), which conducts the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for LLM admissions. The Consortium decides the exam pattern, subjects, and question format based on evolving legal education standards. The syllabus primarily includes Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Criminal Law, Contracts, Torts, Administrative Law, and other key legal areas. It focuses on passage-based MCQs assessing legal comprehension, reasoning, and application. Candidates should refer to the official Consortium website (consortiumofnlus.ac.in) for the latest updates.

Yes, 2 months can be sufficient for CLAT PG preparation with a focused study plan. Since the exam is passage-based, prioritize Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Criminal Law, Contracts, Torts, and other core subjects. Dedicate the first month to conceptual clarity, landmark judgments, and recent legal developments. In the second month, focus on solving previous year papers, mock tests, and time management. Study 3–4 hours daily, emphasizing legal reasoning and comprehension. Consistent revision and practice with MCQs will improve accuracy. With smart preparation and discipline, cracking CLAT PG in 2 months is achievable.
