Don't take a drop as it's not necessary that you will always top. Go ahead with B.Sc-IT as it has a lot of scope for first year B.Sc. You can go to any normal college and score good marks in first year B.Sc and then, you can change in second year B.Sc to a good reputed college.

Yes definitely, if you want, you can pursue MCA from NIT since, you have done B.Sc in maths. But the condition is that you have to qualify NIMCET examination to pursue MCA from any of the 11 NITs providing the same. The NIMCET is a National Level Entrance Test conducted by NITs for admission to the MCA course offered by NITs. Only if you are capable of qualifying the exam with a good rank, you will be able to get an admission in the NITs.

See the eligibility criteria for that particular field which you want to pursue your Masters and see the cut-off for the exam for previous year if you fulfill everything then you may get the seat.
