Hello, This is the query that haunts every student as well as the counselor! Issue is what is good today may not remain good four years down the line. In addition always remember the adage "There is always room at the top". If you work hard and study diligently, you will find placements in branch. Do stop worrying and choose the branch that fascinates you the most.

Hi,
There are primarily two hostels for 1st year students- Hostel-1 and Hostel-2. Hostel-1 has a decent infrastructure. It has a good lawn. It has washing machines. The mess food is above average. You also get snacks. If you can cooperate with mess workers you can cook chicken in the mess. You have a TV room and a TT table also inside the hostel. But there is neither LAN connection nor Wi-Fi in H-1.
Also, the hostel timings used to be very restrictive for 1st year students until you get your fresher party. Hostel-2 has a similar infrastructure as Hostel-1. But it has an added advantage of LAN facility.

Hi,
At B.Sc level, one doesn't follow a single textbook like 12th class's maths NCERT book (I'm not counting the reference books because as far as I know CBSE doesn't mention them explicitly in the list of books to be followed during 12th). But from each book either few sections of a particular chapter or at max. 1/2 chapters are to be covered. So don't worry about the number of books to be followed. The details like name of s
