The NET Exam is organized for the lectureship in university and the JRF Award candidature. The UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are conducted for the different stream candidates in different subjects. The candidates who have completed the post graduation degree from recognised university with minimum 55% marks are eligible to apply for the NET Exam. Candidates are allowed to apply in their post graduation or its related subjects. As you have completed the M.Ed. (post graduation) in maths, you can apply for the CSIR NET mathematics.

Candidates should have passed I. Sc /10 + 2 or equivalent with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects. General category candidates should have secured 45% aggregate marks in Physics, chemistry and mathematics, while reserved category candidates must score 40% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
