You should target mock exams, a lot of them. Try to take at least 1-2 mocks every week and once you are comfortable with the syllabus you may increase that number to 5-6.

CAT exam pattern has gone with perceptible changes since 2014 not only in CAT structure but also in content. CAT 2018 exam is expected to be held in the month of November/December 2018. Next 6 months will be a crucial period to devise a well chalked out plan for your CAT preparation as per the CAT 2018 pattern. If candidates are eligible according to eligibility criteria then they can proceed to fill the application form:
Candidates should have passed minimum 3 years of Bachelors Degree from any recognised university. Candidate must score 50% marks in aggregate in any discipline (45% for OBC/PD belonging to Maharashtra State only). Candidates those appearing in final year are also eligible to apply.
Exam Pattern:

Hi Hrishikesh,
SIBM Pune does not accept MAT score. Our admission process is based on SNAP test score only, which is generally conducted in the month of December. For more details, please visit the SNAP test website and the admissions section on the official SIBM website.

Yes, you can apply in Maharashtra. But you will get only the seat of outsider quota which is 15-20% of total fees.

Yes, you will get the admission on the basis of your CMAT score but the cut-offs through CMAT is usually high as you will get the AI (All India) Seat in the process for CMAT score which is less compare to the state seats.
