Marks vary every year and hence the focus must be on percentiles. A percentile of above 95-96 should be enough to fetch you an admission at BKSBM.

The field totally depends on interest, be it finance, marketing, HR or any other. CAT 2018 exam will be in the year's end, I.e. November-December. Getting a percentile of atleast 90 will fetch you a reputed B-School.

For Executive- Post Graduate Program in Management at IIMB. Yes, you need to have submit your valid GMAT/GRE (CAT is not necessary) for admission. Ideally, two years are sufficient to prepare for CAT. However, that's just a perspective, I know people who have aced the CAT with just 6-8 months of preparation. Everything depends on you, the amount of effort and dedication that you put in for the preparation. It is not necessary to have work experience in MBA, but definitely it helps.

Hello Rajvardhan,
For getting into a B-School to pursue MBA, you will have to appear for at least one of the examinations. MAT would be easier. Also, it is conducted 4 times a year.
Good luck.
