Yes, you can appear for XAT exam. But, you should have completed your graduation. You will get admission in foreign quota.

The cutoff percentile for diff exams is different every year and changes every time according to the exam. There is no fixed cutoff. Last year cutoff for CAT- 86 percentile , XAT - 78percentile and CMAT - 96 percentile.

It actually depends upon the individual's caliber but generally for CAT at least 6 months of preparation is required. You should at least try to start the preparation from July-August to get a decent score.
